How to create a QR menu: from product list to first publication

A useful QR menu starts with accurate product information and an interface that is easy to read on a phone.

1. Prepare your source menu

Collect the products you sell, their categories and current prices. Make portion sizes and variants explicit. If a large latte costs more, the menu should explain that before the guest orders.

For photo import, choose a complete, readable image without glare. Check every section of a multi-page menu. For URL import, use your business’s own menu page.

2. Build the digital menu

Create your LogMenu account and verify your email. Add products manually or prepare an AI draft. The trial’s two AI credits can cover an initial import and one revision.

Compare product names, prices, descriptions and categories with the source. Familiar headings such as starters and main dishes are easier for guests than internal short codes.

3. Test the mobile view

Open the menu on a small phone. Can guests recognise the business and reach categories? Does a long description obscure the price? Do images represent the actual served product? Fill missing prices before publication.

4. Publish and download the QR code

Publish the reviewed menu. This starts LogMenu’s seven-day trial. Download a QR code for your menu link from the dashboard. Leave a quiet zone around it and keep a dark code on a light background.

5. Try it at a real table

Test the actual print or table product under service lighting, with several phones, scanning angles and normal seated distance. Also check the internet connection.

After a price change, publish again and open the same QR code. Confirm the published guest menu. A content update does not require a new print while the link stays the same.
