PDF or managed digital menu?

Sharing a PDF through a QR code is a quick start. For a changing menu, consider the ongoing work and guest experience.

When a PDF can work

A short, rarely updated PDF that reads well on phones may be sufficient for simple sharing. A wide print layout is often small on a phone: guests zoom, scroll sideways and search through pages.

Test file size, first load and price readability. If a filename change changes the QR destination, your print may also need updating.

What changes with a managed menu?

Products, prices, categories and descriptions are editable separately. One price update does not require rebuilding the design file. Separate drafts and published content let you review first.

Categories and images can fit the phone screen. Menu analytics can reveal product interest; a PDF opening alone does not automatically provide that detail.

Try a small migration

Start with a frequently changing category. Compare names and prices with your PDF, then evaluate staff updates and guest access during a service period.

For LogMenu AI import, prepare a readable image of the PDF page or describe the products in a message. Review the draft; digitising a menu does not automatically correct inaccurate source data.

Measure the total work

  • How many products or prices change each month?
  • Who edits and who publishes?
  • Which menu questions do guests ask most?
  • Do you need multiple languages, photos or analytics?
